LPD Surveys provides professional Land and Engineering Surveying services to a broad range of clients and sectors across Western Australia.

Established in Mandurah in 2017 by Jake Lampard to service local Land Development and Engineering projects. LPD Surveys has grown through ongoing trusted relationships with our clients and industry partners.

Co-directors Sam Keenan and Jake Lampard acquired Perth surveying company Driscoll’s Land Surveyors in 2023. With senior licensed surveyor Victor Smith and senior development manager/draftsperson Jack Alliss joining the team it adds an additional 80 years combined surveyor experience.

Now spanning four offices in Perth, Mandurah, Kalgoorlie and Bridgetown – LPD Surveys provide specialty Surveying and Land Development services to our clients from small local builders to tier 1 contractors and mining companies.

Sam is the director and general manager of LPD Surveys.
Extensive experience delivering large and often remote projects across Western Australia, South Australia and New South Wales. Licensed Surveyor in WA, Registered Surveyor in NSW
17 Years’ experience working on Mining, SMP, Road and Rail Infrastructure, Residential, Commercial, Defence and Green Fields projects across Western Australia, South Australia and New South Wales.

Survey Manager / Senior Licensed Surveyor

Jake Lampard is the founding director of LPD Surveys and a senior licensed surveyor with 15 years experience in the surveying industry. He has many years’ experience of remote surveying work in Western Australia and the Northern Territory on larger projects.

He has experience in a wide variety of specialised 3D spatial projects and surveys in residential, construction and industrial environments. At LPD Surveys he has managed multiple subdivisions and strata’s from smaller 2 lot developments to large 60 lot estates. In our construction arm he works with senior estimators and project managers to ensure jobs can be quoted and budgeted to run smoothly with quality deliverables and timely results delivered.

He enjoys being in the field to assist & train LPD surveyors and being a supervising surveyor for his cadets working towards being a licensed surveyor.

He loves camping trips with his family, strength & conditioning training, nature treks and swimming in the pool or at the beach with his three young kids.

Victor Smith

Senior Licensed Surveyor

Victor has been a licensed surveyor in WA since 1989. His role at LPD Surveys as a Senior Licensed Surveyor is to mentor articled surveyors, provide land development advice to clients and assist the leadership team in tendering.

Victor has extensive surveying experience in development and built form. This includes high rise developments, small and medium sized subdivisions and strata mergers, re-subdivisions and conversions.

Victor is an avid surfer who loves going to Indonesia, the Maldives and other wave breaks around the world. He loves a good quote with this one being one of his favourites: “The Bitterness of Poor Quality Remains Long After the Sweetness of Low Price is Forgotten” – Confucius


Jack Alliss

Senior Development Manager/Draftsperson

Jack has been in the surveying industry since 1980. He started as a surveyor/draftsperson with Telstra in the 1980s and joined Driscoll’s Land Surveyors (established by Peter Driscoll) in 1993. He continued gaining experience as a surveyor and then became the manager and director of the company.

Jack is exceptionally experienced with small cadastral and built strata developments. His knowledge of the strata regulations and procedure is second to none.

His role at LPD Surveys is to advice the leadership team on land and strata developments from his 43 years of experience in the industry.

Jack enjoys spending time with his family and having a good book to read.


Cameron

Senior Surveyor/Chief Pilot/3D Model Reality Capture Specialist

Cameron has been with LPD Surveys since it began in March 2017. A Curtin University graduate, he has 12 years’ experience as a cadastral and engineering surveyor. He leads the development and management of our reality capture projects producing survey grade accurate 3D models using a combination of aerial and terrestrial photogrammetry / lidar scanning systems.

He has led large engineering projects requiring civil, structural, service and architectural set-outs in metropolitan and regional areas. For a variety of clients, he produces monthly/quarterly reports for audit mining stockpile volumes and open pit digital surface models using UAV drone technology.

He is a valued member at LPD Surveys and is driven to deliver new and better-quality deliverables to our long standing clients.

Cameron is a surf lifesaving captain and a wizz with drone imagery and 3D printing always having a new gadget to show the team.


Jacqui
Projects Administrator

Jacqui has been a dedicated professional in the surveying and land subdivision space for over ten years. With extensive experience in small subdivisions and built strata developments, she is a highly knowledgeable and skilled member of the industry.

Jacqui’s keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence have helped her successfully manage many projects, always ensuring they meet high standards of quality. Her compassion, understanding, and patience make her a reliable professional, known for providing excellent customer service and earning her respect and trust in the field. 

Outside of her professional endeavors, Jacqui is a devoted mother to her son, who is passionate about basketball and football. Much of her free time is spent at training sessions or cheering him on at games.  

Jacqui dabbles in, black-and-white photography and mosaic wood art. These creative outlets offer her a peaceful escape from the busyness of daily life and reflect her appreciation for both the structured and the artistic aspects of life.

Senior Mining Surveyor

Brian has over 20 years of mining experience, with a hands-on approach to solving technical problems and developing working relationship with both operators and professional personnel. He has the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced mining environment whilst delivering quality and effective results to the various stakeholders. He is skilled in identifying opportunities to streamline current processes into a more efficient and reliable work flow.

Brian has worked FIFO with two of the big iron ore miners in Rio Tinto and FMG for most of his earlier career as well various smaller gold and mineral mines.
He is experienced with Leica, Trimble and Topcon TPS and GPS instruments as well as mining software packages such as Surpac, Vulcan, Minesight, Quickslope and UAV processing programs.

Brian enjoys camping with his mates and young daughter on the weekends he can get away and getting muddy on his dirt bike.

Aaron is skilled in Leica TPS & GPS systems that we use at LPD Surveys. He has high attention to detail when completing engineering tasks he is given. He has a great work ethic and the senior team appreciate the efficiency of this work and relaying good communication about the project.

He has experience in the mining industry and working remote.
Aaron enjoys catching up with mates on the weekend and getting out on the footy field.

Matt has been an engineering surveyor for +20 years with extensive experience in many fields such as, water infrastructure, pipeline route selection , underground service location and civil mining projects. He has fulfilled senior survey roles on many large scale civil projects. He has a broad understanding of large scale control networks, document control, data management and on the fly redesign required to successfully manage civil projects so they can be delivered in a timely way.

Matt has spent many years working in remote locations in WA and the NT and is well aware of the challengers that come with this.

He is an avid waterman who is proficient in breath hold freediver and regularly spends his weekends on the ocean.


Danielle
Bookkeeping

Accounts Administrator / HSEQ officer

Danielle has been with LPD Surveys since the beginning in March 2017. She ensures all the bookkeeping is in order and reconciling our accounts. She has over 15 years experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
She keeps our HSEQ system up to date and also assists in subdivision project management.

Danielle is a wonderful mother of 3 young daughters who are always welcome to come into the office to hang out and play.


Jackson

Licensed Surveyor

Jackson is a dedicated and highly competent Licensed Surveyor who loves a spatial problem to solve. His experience is broad in both rural and metropolitan cadastral surveys. He has extensive experience in the wheatbelt region and south-west of WA in rural surveys. With an eye for detail he has been involved in Built Strata, small subdivisions and building surveys in Perth. 

He is very experienced in Leica TPS and GPS Systems and Leica Laser Scanners and registrations using Leica Cyclone. He is capable of taking on multiple projects and managing delivery for clients. 

Jackson enjoys spending time with his young family, getting away to remote locations surfing and fishing, distance running and tinkering in his shed.


Brendan

Senior/Articled Surveyor

Brendan is a very capable and experienced surveyor and is working through his Land Surveyors Licensing Board (LSLB) projects and exams to become a licensed surveyor. He is a patient and attentive team leader assisting younger surveyors with boundary re-pegs and feature/contour surveys.

He is experienced in Leica TPS and GPS Systems and very competent with 12D surveying software to produce quality plans for clients. He is skilled in land subdivisions and engineering projects such as water corp pump stations and pipelines. He also drafts our as-con plans for large subdivisions.

He is very organised and efficient at completing the project work he is tasked with.
Brendan enjoys getting on the open road on his motorbike and keeps the team guessing at which car he has just bought or sold every odd month.


Doug
Senior Draftsperson

Doug is a senior draftsperson with over 20 years’ experience in drafting crown, freehold and strata cadastral plans. In the past Doug worked for Landgate (DOLA) as a draftsperson. With his Landgate and Department of Lands connections there is no job too tricky for Doug to complete.

Doug has always delivered a quality cadastral plan – our licensed surveyors have the utmost confidence that the plans lodged at Landgate and this shows as there have been little to no requisitions for poor quality plans over the last 5 years in business.

Doug enjoys working remote on his regular Bali trips and seeing his grandchild on his travels to Christmas Island.


 

Sam

Surveyor

Sam is an engineering surveyor at LPD Surveys. He has experience in feature/contour surveys and building set-outs. He has assisted on our reality capture projects and is skilled in extracting features from our survey grade 3D reality models using software programs Bentley Context Capture viewer and Virtual Surveyor.

Sam is a mature young surveyor with a great attitude and high interest in the industry. He is reliable and punctual.

Sam is a 4WD expert & enthusiast and can be seen on many a weekend working on his 80 series with his old man.


Colt

Engineering/Articled Surveyor

Colt has an interest in Hydrographic Surveying but can be more often found on a variety of engineering and land development projects around Perth.

Also working on many of our small developments and engineering projects in rural WA.

Previously working in short term cover roles on larger projects for Tier 1 contractors in the Pilbara and NSW.

Colt is keen to learn new skills, equipment and programs, keeping up with the latest Survey technologies and techniques. He is working towards his cadastral license to become a licensed surveyor.

A gamer, and sports car enthusiast who is always keen to help his team and puts his hand up for any opportunity.

LPD Surveys are dedicated to providing a quality product to clients in a safe manner and as such have a comprehensive Health Safety Environment Quality (HSEQ) system.

The HSEQ system meets ISO standards in terms of quality (QA methodology and procedures, calibrations, deliverable checklists and SMDS). We are prompt to follow up queries and provide concise plans giving clients peace of mind.

LPD Surveyors encourages safe work practise and employees actively pursue zero harm to themselves, others and the environment. We promote a working environment that puts the safety of our employees first and have staff trained in safety documentation (Take 5’s/SWMS/JHA), traffic management and senior first aid.
